Leasing

Vehicle Delivery Times

Vehicle delivery times are subject to Manufacturers' production schedules, vehicle model run-out and changes to supply and demand.

Clients are strongly advised to order all new vehicles well in advance of the lease end date of the old vehicle.  This will ensure a timely delivery and reduce the risk of late return penalties on the old vehicle.

The recommended ordering timetable for vehicles is:

Passenger vehicles manufactured in Australia - 3 months

  •  Including: -  Ford Falcon Series, Ford Territory, Holden Commodore Series, Toyota Camry and Toyota Aurion

Vehicles manufactured overseas - 6 months

  • Includes all other vehicles

Vehicles ordered to meet specific requirements (accessories/options, colour) may take longer to deliver.

The required date of new vehicle delivery can be entered into the Application for New Motor Vehicle when ordering vehicles in advance.

StateFleet's fleet managed Clients should use the Vehicle Replacement Schedule in StateFleet Online to plan and initiate the replacement of vehicles 3-6 months in advance of their lease end date.

The letter 'Motor Vehicle Lease Due to Expire' issued to all Clients under the Government's Lease Arrangements is a reminder to return the vehicle to StateFleet .  It should not be used to commence replacement action on the changeover of the vehicle.

For further information relating to the delivery times of vehicles contact John Barlow, Manager, Supply, on john.barlow@services.nsw.gov.au or on 02 9372 9158.
