Hybrid Vehicles in Government Fleet

An amendment to the Motor Vehicle Policy for NSW Government Agencies was announced in Circular 2003-32 to incorporate petrol/electric hybrid motor vehicles into the Government fleet.  Agencies are now required to include these vehicles on the following basis:

• Fleets comprising 25 to 99 vehicles must contain at least one petrol/electric hybrid fuel technology vehicle,  
• For fleets comprising 100 or more vehicles, one percent of the total must be petrol/electric hybrid fuel technology vehicles.
